Critics refer to her “joyous synergy” and “muted lilt.” Have loved this woman from the first time I heard her.

and she has a raw alienation. And those who dissed her for tearing up the pope (when the first scandals of child sexual abuse were leaking) really have to back up and give her props for courage and passion.

I remember watching when that happened (Sinead tearing up the picture of the Pope). My buddy John and I just stared at each other for a minute in complete disbelief.

her great moment at the 1992 Bob Dylan tribute when she was booed because of the then recent Pope photo incident, and responded with the Bob Marley song WAR

I remember watching Sinead both when she tore up the picture of the pope and the Bob Dylan tribute.
On SNL I heard she practiced all week with a different song and then came on and stunned the audience.
At the Dylan tribute I think there is something to learn from.
Sinead came on and was booed. I do not remember her singing War but I do remember that the guy(don’t remember his name) who was introducing folks did not respond very well. He just seemed confused. There was kind of a weak apology to her but nothing that called out the people booing her or that spoke out in her favor.
Something to learn from.
I do miss Sinead.
